Skriva på engelska
Jag har fått ett mail från Ancestry. Jag gissar att det är fler av er som fått samma…?
De vill ha in historier om 150-200 ord.
Det är ju lite lockande. Det ökar förmodligen chansen att få kontakt med släktingar "over-there" om det publiceras…
Samtidigt är det ju en tröskel att kliva över att skriva på engelska. Någon av er som funderar på att skriva?
Har inte fått något brev? Så vet inte vad det handlar om. Men kan tänka mig att skriva på engelska.
Vad ska man ha som signatur tro?
Har inte heller fått mailet. vad är det för typ av historier de efterfrågar? Svensa immigranter i USA? 1500-200 ord är inte mycket. Engelskan är inget problem men hur får man ihop en berättelse med så få ord. Det blir ju mest en sammanfattning på född, ort, föräldrar, datum för emmigration, bosatt i USA, familj, död.

Simply email us at share@ancestry.com to tell us your story.
What are we looking for?
Have you found new or reunited with Swedish family members through Ancestry.com?
Have you uncovered any interesting or surprising secrets or twists and turns in your Swedish family tree?
Do you have any colorful or famous Swedish ancestors? Perhaps you are descended from a famous author, a war hero, a political leader or royalty.
Give us a high-level, 150- to 200-word summary of your story. If you have supporting documents or photographs, wed like to hear about these too. Dont forget to include your name and contact details.
How do I submit my story?
All stories need to be submitted by email initially. To do this, simply email your 150-200-word story to share@ancestry.com.
What happens next?
If we select your story, well contact with you to obtain further details. If a journalist finds your story interesting, we will arrange for them to contact you to do an interview.
Be assured that you have to provide only information you are comfortable giving and please keep in mind that story placement can take some time.

Engelskan är inga problem, men jag har inga emigranter :)
Engelskan tyvärr ett stort problem: läst men ej förstått när jag gick i skolan, sedan självlärd vilket gör det svårt att skriva och förstå.
